Princess Luna is a Research Project Coordinator at the Center on Gender Equity and Health within the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego. In this role, she manages a portfolio of global research initiatives led by Dr. Rebecka Lundgren, including Growing Up GREAT, the Social Norms and Agency Learning Collaboratives, Adolescent Transitions in West Africa, Agency for All, and the Adolescent and Youth Learning Agenda. She also contributes to Dr. Lotus McDougal’s research through the GENDER Project.

Princess earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Education and Public Health, with a minor in Women’s Health, from San Francisco State University. As an undergraduate, she gained research experience through internships with the San Francisco Department of Public Health and the University of California, San Francisco, where she supported studies focused on improving access to COVID-19 testing for people experiencing homelessness in congregate shelter settings.

Her work is driven by a deep commitment to health equity, gender equity, and social justice. She is passionate about advancing social and behavior change research and programming that strengthens equitable access to healthcare and promotes the agency of individuals and communities, particularly in settings where systemic and gender-based inequities constrain opportunities, resources, and decision-making power.

Outside of professional work, Princess enjoys staying active, traveling, experiencing different cultures through food, and spending time with family and friends.
